Christiana Vogtsberger
My name is Christiana Vogtsberger and I ‘m grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside women who are seeking hope, change and growth in their relationship with Jesus Christ. I was born and raised in Cyprus and came to the United States in my early twenties to pursue further education. After marrying, I paused my studies and I devoted myself to raising our two children, now grown, before returning to school and earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northwest University in 2009.
My journey into biblical counseling began personally—first as a counselee through my local church. In a season of struggle, the faithful and compassionate application of God’s Word brought conviction, comfort, and lasting heart change in my own life. This foundational experience deeply shaped my understanding of counseling and strengthened my conviction that Scripture is sufficient to address the deepest struggles of the human heart and the real and often complex struggles women face in every season of life.
Motivated by this transformation, I pursued certification with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), which I completed in 2016. I later earned a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from The Master’s University in 2022. I have been counseling since 2014 and consider it a privilege to walk alongside women through a wide range of challenges, (including personal suffering, relational and marriage struggles, and seasons of significant transition), consistently pointing them to the hope found in Christ.
After many years of counseling, Elpida Biblical Counseling was established. Elpida is the Greek word for hope, which reflects the heart of biblical counseling—offering real and lasting hope to those who are hurting found only in Christ. I counsel with a deep conviction and commitment to the authority and sufficiency of Scripture, seeking to help women grow in repentance, faith and obedience as they pursue Christlikeness through the power of the the Holy Spirit.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy taking walks in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
My Counseling Approach
I primarily counsel women in all stages of life, including seasons of suffering, transition, and growth. Many of the women I work with are facing challenges related to past experiences, anxiety, depression, spiritual confusion, suicidal ideation, personal growth, and relational difficulties—including struggles within marriage. I also walk alongside women who feel overwhelmed, discouraged, or burdened by ongoing patterns of thinking or responding that feel difficult to change.
My counseling approach is both compassionate and direct. I strive to create a respectful space where women can honestly examine their hearts, understand their struggles through the lens of Scripture, and thoughtfully apply biblical truth to their lives and relationships. Whether a woman is navigating marital conflict, emotional pain, loneliness, fear, or the weight of sin, or she feels overwhelmed, confused and heartbroken I aim to come alongside her with patience, clarity, and care—always pointing her back to Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s Word.
My goal is not to offer temporary relief or surface-level solutions, but to faithfully direct women to Christ, trusting the Holy Spirit to bring conviction, comfort, wisdom, and lasting transformation that leads to genuine growth in Christlikeness.
